"Carrying Forward the Red Gene" China-Vietnam Youth Dialogue Held at Guangxi University

On April 17, the "Carrying Forward the Red Gene" China-Vietnam Youth Dialogue was held at Guangxi University. The event was co-hosted by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) and the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO), and organized by the Guangxi Regional People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the Guangxi Committee of the Communist Youth League, and Guangxi University. Yu Wenjin, Vice President of Guangxi University, attended the event. Over 150 participants took part, including young officials, media professionals, entrepreneurs, and student representatives from both China and Vietnam.

During the dialogue, six young speakers from China and Vietnam delivered keynote addresses. Through vivid language and real-life stories, they showcased how young people are contributing to their respective countries' development and building bridges of friendship and cooperation between the two nations, expressing their confidence and determination to carry forward the red gene of China-Vietnam friendship.

It is reported that, in order to thoroughly implement the important consensus reached between President Xi Jinping and Vietnamese party and state leaders, the 2026 Vietnam Youth "Red Study Tour" Guangxi Trip was held in Guangxi from April 17 to 21. The China-Vietnam Youth Dialogue was one of the key activities of the tour. During the tour, the participants also visited Guangxi University, Nanxishan Hospital in Guilin, the Eighth Route Army Guilin Office, and Yucai School of Guangxi Normal University, and attended thematic field sessions on China-Vietnam relations and ecological protection in Guangxi.
